October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. To signify its importance Macon Middle School participated in BLUE SHIRT DAY- WORLD DAY OF BULLYING PREVENTION created by STOMP Out Bullying. Students were treated to motivational speaker, Chris Egelston who shared his amazing magic skills with students in his program Reach for Success – Bully Free where students learned an easy to remember 4-step system for keeping bullies out of their lives and school.

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year.  The beginning of each school year is an opportunity for everyone in the school community to reflect upon goals.  It is my hope that each student will set and reach their personal goals this school year. The goal of the staff at Macon Middle School (MMS) is to provide each student with a safe nurturing environment that will meet the needs of each student.  We strive to bridge the gap between elementary and high school by encouraging students to do their best academically, socially, and emotionally.  We also promote Respect, Responsibility, and doing the Right Thing.  We believe these positive character traits will help our students grow into successful students and productive citizens.

Attending MMS will be one of the best experiences of your life.  You will be faced with many new and exciting challenges.  The way you approach these challenges will determine how fulfilling this year will be for you.  I strongly encourage every student to find an activity and get involved.

It takes everyone working together to meet the needs of each student.  We invite you to come along side us to provide the best educational experience possible for the students at MMS.  The staff at MMS looks forward to working with students, parents and the community during the 2017-2018 school year.
