Immunization Requirements

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS TO

ATTEND SCHOOL

     

State law requires that a child must be fully immunized according to the state requirements before they can attend any school in the state of Missouri. Therefore, your child will not be able to start school until all their shots are complete and on file with the school nurse. Children attending kindergarten through 12th grade are required to have the following immunizations or boosters:

• DTaP- Diptheria, tetanus and pertussis; or DT-diptheria and tetanus

• Tdap-Pertussis Preteens and Teens

• IPV-Polio

• Hepatitis B

• MMR- Measles, Mumps, Rubella

• Varicella- Chickenpox

 

If there is a question whether your child is adequately immunized, please check with your doctor, the school nurse or the County Health Department.
