Counseling Services
Counseling services are offered to address the needs and
concerns of students whose personal circumstances are threatening to
interfere with or are interfering with their healthy academic, career,
and personal/social development.
Individual Counseling- school counselor
provides counseling for students who are experiencing educational
difficulties, personal concerns, or normal developmental tasks. Assists
students in identifying problems, causes, alternatives, and possible
consequences so that appropriate action can be taken.
Group Counseling- counselor provides
small-group counseling to students who need and will benefit from a
small-group setting to address their needs and concerns. May deal with
such topics as social skills, anger management, relationship issues,
grief issues, self-esteem, and study skills.
Crisis Intervention- counselor offers
assistance with crisis situations that arise including, child abuse,
family loss, substance abuse, and suicide,
