Assistant Principals are Learners Too!
This week, Dr. Dwiggins, Mrs. Brown, and Mrs. Clatworthy attended the District Continuous Improvement (DCI) conference at the Lake of the Ozarks. The conference was a continuation of the work we have been doing over the past year, including the RPDC Consultations, the Curriculum Camp, and next year’s professional development. The purpose of DCI, as well as the conference, is to bring together educational leaders, teachers, and stakeholders to explore the significance of purposeful leadership in transforming schools into academic and thriving communities. Each of our three participants attended various workshops tailored to their building's needs and interests.
Macon Tiger Students
Several of our students proudly participated in the annual Special Olympics Torch Run. This inspiring event featured representation from all branches of law enforcement, who led the students as they ran together from the school to Sonic. The collaboration between students and law enforcement highlighted community spirit and support for the Special Olympics.

100% on Bus Inspections--
Way to Go!
Congratulations to our Macon R-1 Transportation Department for recently achieving a 100% on all of our bus inspections. It was a team effort led by Hayden Petre and Jeff Scantlin, with assistance from Macon R-1 bus drivers. Great job to all on this achievement!
JUNE Little Tigers Pre-K Update:
We are working on finishing up the renovations to the administration building. Caleb Mader and a few of his students will complete construction of the new classrooms this summer. We are installing two bathrooms with “small” fixtures for the students. We will be placing the site preparation and playground installation out for bids as well this summer.
The Board of Education approved the 2025-2026 meeting dates for this coming school year. Check out these dates and add them to your calendar.
