Hi! I’m Lori Nelson.  I love teaching third grade at Macon Elementary.  This is my 7th year teaching third grade. Before this, I taught second grade for 7 years in Macon and 8 years in New Cambria, and my first 9 years in first grade at an elementary  in Arizona. I have loved teaching all three grades! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education at SUNY Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, New York in 1988. I later earned my Master’s Degree in Human Relations and Counseling through Northern Arizona University in 1995. My husband Mark and I had twins, Rebecca and Ben, in 1997 and moved back to Macon to be closer to family. I went back to school a third time and received another Master’s Degree - Curriculum and Instruction through William Woods University.  Now Rebecca is finishing her college degree at Northwest and Ben is at Mizzou. I love to travel with my family, read, and work outside in the garden and in the yard at home. My porch is also a favorite place for me to be!
