Our local Knights of Columbus have once again come through for the Developmentally Delayed children of Macon R I Schools. Annually the Knights have their Tootsie Roll drive to raise money for the developmentally disabled children in our community. They then donate that money to a local organization who serves those children. For the past many years they have donated it to the Severely Developmentally Delayed program at Macon R I Schools. This program then uses the money to offer greater experiences for our developmentally delayed. The current funds will be used to purchase upgraded technology to better serve these students. The amount of money donated not only speaks highly of our local Knights of Columbus, but our community as a whole. Pictured here are our Knights presenting a check for $1244.00 to Joyce Wilson, Special Education Director of Macon R I Schools. |
